Lake Bluff 13 Complete Fat Tire Mountain Bike Race
A group of local guys make it an annual tradition to bike 40 miles as part of the Chequamegon Fat Tire mountain bike race in Hayward, Wisc.

Eleven residents of Lake Bluff celebrated their 10th year of participating in the Chequamegon Fat Tire mountain bike race in Hayward, Wisc. last month.
‘Team Lake Bluff Fat Tire’ - Andy Seikel, Matt Stockert, Steve Fitzgerald, Sam Badger, Quinn Ribordy, Carl Bornholdt, Jon Meulboek, Scott Logue, Thomas Bro, Ryan Stoll, Dan Charhut, John Neudeu and Scott Streiffo - completed the 40-mile mountain bike race in a what has become a yearly event for the longtime group of friends.
The tradition, for the last 10 years, has been to stay at a friends’ log cabin, have a Saturday night Steak Dinner, Fireworks-Bon Fire and go out for drinks at the Moccasin Bar (a true Wisconsin old school fishing and hunting bar).

“A great guys weekend,” said Bro, noting that although the Fat Tire does have an option for a 16-mile race, this team will continue with the 40-miler for at least the near future.
“No one wants to be the first and have to take the grief,” he said.
