Lake Bluff Independence Day Parade And Event Schedule

LAKE BLUFF, IL — Mr. Peanut and the Kraft Nutmobile, the Wells Fargo Stagecoach and Chicago’s Blooze Brother’s Bloozemobile are among the new faces scheduled to appear in the 107th edition of Lake Bluff's annual Fourth of July Parade, the Village of Lake Bluff announced.

The Lake Bluff Police and Fire Departments will be leading the parade as marshals. The parade begins at Oak Avenue on E. Center Avenue at 10 am on July 4, but the village emphasized there's a lot more to its Independence Day celebrations.

Saturday, July 1

1:00-4:30 pm: Lake Bluff 4th of July Mixed Doubles Tennis Open, Artesian Park Courts
First day of two-day tournament.

Sunday, July 2

1:00 pm: Lake Bluff 4th of July Mixed Doubles Tennis Open, Artesian Park Courts

Second day of two-day tournament. Flight A Finals begin at 1:00 pm; Flight B Finals begin at 2:00 pm.
2:00 pm: Lake Bluff Open Lands Guided Tour, Skokie River Preserve

Monday, July 3

6:00-11:00 pm: 42nd Annual Firemen’s Ball, Blair Park
Tickets available at the Fire Station, Village Hall or at the door.

Tuesday, July 4

7:00-9:45 am: 46th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Village Green, Lake Bluff

7:00 am: Parade check-in opens on E. Sheridan Place

8:00 am: Parade assembles on E. Center Ave.

9:00 am: Grace United Methodist “Party in the Parking Lot” begins on E. Center Ave.

9:15 am: Children’s Parade assembles at the corner of E. Scranton and Walnut

9:40 am: Opening Ceremonies:
Invocation: Pastor Mark Hindman, Union Church of Lake Bluff
National Anthem: Dennis Eveleigh and Maddy Javier
Master of Ceremonies: Joanna Rolek
Review Officer: Colonel Jason Morris, USMC Commanding Officer, 9th Marine Corps District

9:50 am: Children’s Parade steps off from the corner of E. Scranton and Walnut

10:00 am: Parade steps off from Oak Ave. on E. Center Ave.
Parade Marshals: Lake Bluff Police Department and Lake Bluff Fire Department

11:30 am-2:00 pm: 2nd Annual Kiwanis Hamburger & Hot Dog Cookout, Village Green, Lake Bluff

6:00 pm-8:00 pm: Blooze Brothers, Lake Bluff Park District Band on the Beach, N. Sunrise Beach

For parade day activities, parking will be available at the Lake Bluff Train Station.
