Lake Bluff Obituary: Patsy Caringello, 75

Patsy Ann Caringello, age 75 of Lake Bluff, IL passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 after a brief and sudden illness. Patsy was born in Lake Forest on January 6, 1943 to Lawrence and Myrtle (nee Hardekopf) Jensen. After attending Lake Forest High School, Patsy met the love of her life, Michael Caringello. They were married January 9, 1961 and have lived together in love and happiness ever since.

The young couple purchased their house in Lake Bluff in 1962 and her home became the center of her universe. Patsy loved to prepare delicious meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed tending her beautiful gardens, and was known for her legendary parties. An enthusiastic card player, Patsy was always ready for a game. She loved all of the holidays and enjoyed decorating throughout the year. An avid reader of romance novels, she was often found with a book in her hands. She was an active member of the community, donating her time to various organizations throughout the years. Her greatest passion, though, were her children and grandchildren. They all brought her so much joy!

Patsy is survived by her devoted husband Michael and her two sons Michael, Jr. (Leslie) and Angelo Caringello; and her three grandchildren Grace, Mary and Mark Caringello. She is also survived by her sisters, Dixie (Mike) Conner and Carol (Frank) Caringello; and her sister-in-law Anna Ciocchetti. She is also survived by a large extended family and countless friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law Vito and Angela Caringello and her brother-in-law Vince Ciocchetti.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Wenban Funeral Home in Lake Forest. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Mary, 201 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
