Lake Bluff Obituary: Robert 'Bob' Havrin, 65

Bob enjoyed travel, chess and a good home brew. A celebration of life is scheduled for Sept. 17 at Christ Church in Lake Forest.

Robert “Bob” Havrin, 65, of Lake Bluff IL died suddenly on Friday July 30, 2021. Born on December 29, 1955 in Belle Vernon PA, Robert was the son of the late John and Sarah Uhrin.

Bob enjoyed travel, chess and a good home brew. He knew how to grow the perfect tomato and always welcomed good conversations with family and friends.

His Christian beliefs were fundamental to him as well as his conservative American views.

Bob achieved dual Bachelor degrees in Chemical Engineering and Pre-Med from Penn State University. He went on to receive a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, NY

Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia Havrin and their children Lauren and David Havrin, Step Daughter Danielle Bergeron and husband Russel; Brothers Mick and wife Janie, and brother Dave with wife Melissa, his cousin Georgie Lou, step grandchildren Ella and Abby, multiple nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Ratha.

Bob will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 17th at 1:00 pm at Christ Church in Lake Forest, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the First Christian Church in Monessen, Pennsylvania or the Liberty Justice Center, Chicago, Illinois.
