Lake Forest 3rd Grader creates Rainbow Looms for Typhoon Victims

Sam Larson, an 8-year old, 3rd grader from Lake Forest created colorful rainbow loom bracelets at Benny’s Holiday Bazaar last Saturday, November 16th. Sam sold $68 worth of bracelets and chocolate covered pretzels and will donate the entire amount to the victims of the recent typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The Philippines is close to Sam’s heart as his grandparents currently live in the capital of Manila and his mother, Kavi Larson was born and raised in the country.

Benny's Holiday Bazaar gave Sam a perfect opportunity to reach out to the community. The Bazaar was an inaugural event for Benny's World, a not-for-profit foundation established by the Watters family to fund research to find a cure for pediatric brain stem tumors.
