Lake Forest Caucus Committee to Propose Aldermen, Adhere to Bylaws
Lake Forest Caucus Committee's "Open Call" meeting invited citizen participation and pledged adherence to Bylaws

On October 6th, the Lake Forest Caucus Committee held an “open call” public meeting to invite Lake Forest registered voters to attend and interview for openings on various City boards. All of the City’s four wards have openings in volunteer positions ranging from Historic Preservation, to Audit, to Caucus Committee.
Caucus President Weber, answering questions from the public, also confirmed that at the November 17th Annual Meeting the Caucus Committee would be proposing re-slating incumbent Aldermen Beidler, Newman and Moreno in Wards 1, 2 and 4, respectively. Due to Ward 3 scheduling difficulties, the decision on the Ward 3 Alderman recommendation had not yet been made at the last meeting. She also confirmed in response to questioning that the Caucus Committee would adhere to the Caucus Bylaws, noting, for example, that at the November 17th Annual Meeting, all registered voters in attendance would receive a written ballot with which to affirm, or not, the Caucus Committee’s proposed slate.
Restore the Caucus recognizes the time and effort Caucus Committee members have dedicated to this effort and urges Lake Forest registered voters to contact their Ward Chairs to volunteer and likewise serve.
