Lake Forest Celebrates 4th of July with Festival & Fireworks 2017
Headliner: Lou Gramm of Foreigner * Opening Act: Journey Unauthorized

Spend your 4th with a picnic under the stars at the annual Festival and Fireworks brought to you by the Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Foundation and generous presenting sponsor, Lake Forest Bank and Trust.
The fun starts at 6:00pm, when the opening band “Journey Unauthorized” takes the stage. At 8:00pm headliner, Lou Gramm, founding member of Foreigner™ and one of the greatest singers in rock music, will take you right back to the 80’s. Lou Gramm’s unique vocals and hit songs have placed Foreigner™, among Billboard’s Top Artists of all time. Their 16 Billboard Top 40 Hit Songs including “Cold as Ice”, “Urgent”, “Juke Box Hero”, “Double Vision”, “Head Games”, Hot Blooded”, “Feels Like the First Time”, and “Waiting For a Girl Like You”, defined an era. At 9:40pm, the greatest fireworks display on the North Shore begins filling the skies. A variety of food, desserts, beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for sale, or families can bring in their own. For more information and to order tickets go to: www.FriendsLFPR.org. Tickets will be sold in the Recreation office starting June 26.
Proceeds from the event help support the enhancement of Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department’s programs, services, facilities and need-based activity scholarships for families in the community. Through funds raised by tax-deductible donations, the Fred Jackson Annual Golf Classic, Festival & Fireworks, Oktoberfest and Dinner with Santa events, the Friends have provided substantial funding dedicated to beautify parks, make structural improvements and expand recreational programming.
