Lake Forest College Handball Team Dominant Again

Varsity handball teams wins all three national titles.

The Lake Forest College Varsity Handball Team won all three National Championship titles, Division 1 Men, Division 1 Women’s, and Division 1 Combined, at the United States Handball Association National Collegiate Championships in Portland, Oregon on the weekend of February 21.

Coach Michael Dau, a 1958 graduate of Lake Forest College, has led the handball team to the national championship every year since he began coaching at the College.

Individually, LFC Senior Daniel Cordova won the Open Singles Division 1 National Championship for the first time in his college career - beating along the way an opponent he had lost to in his three previous years.

This marks the seventh year in a row LFC has won both the Men’s and Combined team titles, giving the program a 49th national championship.
