Lake Forest Considering Allowing Homeowners To Drill Own Wells

First reading of ordinance allowing certain residence to do so passed by City Council.

Lake Forest homeowners may be able to drill their own wells to get water for landscaping.

The first reading of an ordinance allowing those with single-family homes on five-acre parcels or those with three acres in the city’s historic district was passed this month, the Lake Forester reports. If approved, they will be able to dig wells and tap untreated ground water for irrigation.
