Lake Forest Firefighters Quickly Douse House Blaze
The damages were estimated at $40,000, according to a press release.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Lake Forest Fire Department quickly doused a house fire Wednesday morning. They responded to the northwest part of the city around 8:45 a.m. on a call about a stove top fire and smoke coming from the roof.
Firefighters arrived and put out the stove top fire in minutes. They then discovered a fire extending into the attic space, a press release said. The firefighters brought in two hose lines and put out the attic fire quickly.
There were no injuries. Northbrook and Mundelein helped cover other Lake Forest fire calls, while other local fire departments responded with Lake Forest to the house fire.

The whole incident lasted about 18 minutes.
Damages are estimated at $40,000. The fire is still under investigation.
