Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Easter Egg Hunts

LAKE FOREST, IL — With Easter coming up next weekend and Holy Week about to begin, the City of Lake Forest has announced its Annual Easter Eggstavaganza will take place Saturday morning, while the Lake Bluff Park District announced egg hunts are planned for Friday night as well as Saturday morning.

In Lake Bluff, the Flashlight Egg Hunt is open to kids from ages 9-12. It is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday at the Lake Bluff Recreation Center at 355 West Washington Avenue. Participants (who have been asked to bring their own flashlight and basket) will hunt for eggs, see the Easter Bunny and search for Golden Tickets to win prizes. The Saturday morning Lake Bluff Egg Hunt will also take place at the rec center and is open to children ages 8 and under, according to the park district.

Lake Forest's Easter Eggstravaganza begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Deerpath Middle School, 95 West Deerpath Road. The event is free for kids up to 9 years old. There will be musical entertainment by "Istvan and His Imaginary Band" in the school gym, then games, crafts, an illusionist, balloon artist and photo opportunities with rabbits. All of this will take place before an 11 a.m. egg hunt, according to the City of Lake Forest.
