Lake Forest Moves Barat Issue to Feb. 6 City Council Meeting
Mayor, three aldermen will be absent tonight.

The consideration of an ordinance amending the Special Use Permit to allow expansion of the school’s campus to incorporate the will be tabled at tonight’s City Council meeting and will not be heard.
This matter has been rescheduled for the Feb. 6 City Council meeting.

The decision was made by City officials after receiving word from representatives of Woodlands Academy, City staff and the City Attorney that they are still working to refine legal documentation related to the Special Use Permit for Woodlands Academy. In addition, the Mayor and three of the eight aldermen will be absent from the meeting.
City Manager Bob Kiely said, “Due to the importance of this matter, we felt it was prudent to move this discussion to a time when the Council will be in full attendance.”
