Lake Forest Obituary: Darci Johnson, 52

Darci Feick Johnson, age 52, of Lake Forest passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2018.

Darci was a graduate of Indiana University (Bachelors) and Loyola University Chicago (Masters). She was a longtime educator in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, most recently as a beloved Social Studies teacher at Lake Bluff Middle School. Darci was a lifelong animal lover, popcorn enthusiast, and selflessly giving individual who made sure to spread love, joy and care to anyone in her life that was in need.

Darci is survived by her three children, Spencer, Lillie, and Adam Johnson, and her parents, Dale and Darien Feick of Michigan. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jason Feick, and her special grandmother, Elaine Lobsiger.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in the John and Nancy Hughes Theater at Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, Illinois 60045. An informal reception will be held following the service at the Gorton Center. The family would ask that all those in attendance wear something colorful in keeping with Darci’s bright spirit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Darci’s name may be made to Lake Bluff Middle School or Wright-Way Rescue.
