Lake Forest Obituary: Greg Friedman, 27
A memorial ceremony has been scheduled for Saturday at Lake Forest High School.

Gregory Paul Friedman born in Lake Forest to Nancy and Ross Friedman on August 14, 1989, and left us on August 4, 2017 in Los Angeles, California. He was a loyal and caring brother to his siblings Molly and Kevin.
Greg was a talented artist, a national karate champion, and had a deep passion for learning. He excelled at football in high school and played into college at Tulane University in New Orleans.
After college, Greg’s career took him to Chicago and New York, before settling in Los Angeles with the love of his life, Casey Taslitz, and his beloved puppy, Rhodes.

Greg was a renaissance man and devoted to family and friends. He was an avid reader and explorer of the unknown. He was authentic, dynamic and gifted, playing rugby one day and enjoying a symphony the next. He surfed, boxed, traveled the globe and lived life to the fullest extent.
Greg was a loving and sentimental person, he put family and friends above all else and took care of those around him. He was strong, independent and continually pushed himself to be better.

Greg was a natural born leader who touched every person that he met, and we will all miss him deeply.
Greg is survived by his grandparents Elise "Bunny" Resnick, Francine (Herbert) Scully Lippitz, and Ira (Eileen) Friedman, his parents Nancy and Ross Friedman, his siblings Molly (Marshall) and Kevin, his many aunts and uncles including Karen (Barry) Gersowsky, Marcia (Will) Kohler, Sue (Ron) Weiss, Rick (Marcelle) Friedman, Mitch (Jackie) Friedman, his true love Casey Taslitz, his godson Baer Anderson, and countless friends and family who adored Greg. He is predeceased by his grandfather Eugene Resnick.
A ceremony for Gregory Paul Friedman will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 1 p.m. at Lake Forest High School Auditorium/1285 N McKinley Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045. Please use the north parking lot and school entrance.
