Beloved husband, partner, and best friend of Wendy Thornycroft, née Boyle; loving father of Christopher (Izidora), Nicholas and Alex Thornycroft; proud grandfather of Sofia and Alexandria Thornycroft; son of the late Alice Taylor Thornycroft and Alfred Thornycroft; dear brother of Ann (Jeff) Zimmerman, Tom Thornycroft, Nancy (Scott) Marutz, and the late Jane Thornycroft.
