Skinner, and their four children Stephen M. Skinner of Lake Forest, Curtis H. Skinner (Kari), Jeffrey A. Skinner (Maureen) and Anne S. Dunn (Daniel) all of Lake Bluff, Illinois. She was the devoted “Gammy” to ten grandchildren; Amanda, Robert, Mark, John, Peter, Paige, Shannon and Meghan Skinner and Daniel and Michael Dunn. Sally was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin and attended Washington Park High School. Following high school graduation, she attended Lake Forest College prior to transferring to the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Sally graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a special interest in art and interior design. After college, Sally married her high school sweetheart, Curtis E. Skinner, on June 2, 1953 while Curtis was on a weekend leave from the U. S Army. Shortly after their marriage, Sally and Curtis moved to Paris, France until they returned to the states where they resided in Evanston, Illinois. In 1958, Sally and Curtis settled in Lake Forest, Illinois to raise their family. Sally was an active volunteer for the Lake Forest School District, Arden Shore and the Gamma Phi Beta alumni association. Once her children were grown, she enjoyed spending her summers in Ephraim, Wisconsin, remodeling and designing the family cottages in preparation for the frequent visits made by her children and grandchildren. Sally spent much of her time sketching the beautiful sunsets and scenery of Door County and knitting baby clothing, hats and scarves for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ephraim Moravian Church or the Ephraim Historical Foundation in Ephraim, Wisconsin.
