The following obituary is courtesy of Wenban Funeral Home. Thomas H. Witter, Jr., 87, of Lake Forest, IL, July 6, 2015. Beloved husband of Jean nee Stratton; Loving father of Thomas H. III (Bernadette); Cherished grandfather of Casey, Theresa and Thomas IV ; Brother of James H. Witter. Thomas was a 37 year resident of Lake Forest and a metallurgist for 40 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed his family and was devoted to them. He also enjoyed playing Bridge, Golf and Reading. He coordinated youth baseball working with McKinlock Post #264 for years. Visitation will be held at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Ave., Lake Forest, IL on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm followed by a 2:00 pm Memorial service. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
