Lake Forest Offers Business 'Incubator' at Gorton Center
Project aims to create jobs, networking opportunities for local businesses.

The will launch a new Business & Technology Incubator on May 1 at the for local entrepreneurs, students, and Lake Forest residents with business ideas.
The Business & Technology Incubator is a City-sponsored program to create jobs and economic development opportunities in Lake Forest. By offering shared workspace, free Wi-Fi, networking with investors, local financial resources, monthly brown bag lunches with community experts, access to educational institutions and city support, the goal is the development of innovative, new businesses.

For $135 per month, local entrepreneurs can take advantage of the only business incubator in Lake County. All monthly brown bag speakers are open to the public. As an added bonus for pet owners, Gorton is a “dog-friendly” building.
Business & Technology Incubator members will be connected with all resources available to launch businesses in Lake County. A partnership with the Small Business Development Center at the College of Lake County provides technical assistance, consulting, free webinars, workshops and access to business loans.

The Gorton Community Center Business & Technology Incubator is located at 400 East Illinois Road, Room 117. The City of Lake Forest is participating in regional events such as Tech Week 2012 to bring resources to the Lake Forest Business & Technology Incubator.
