This year, Food Share Food, a Lake Forest fresh produce business, celebrates its second year at the market. Serving the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff area, they provide an eight week summer program of great tasting, healthy produce starting this year on June 20. In turn, for every three boxes, or “shares”, of produce sold to the community, Food Share Food delivers one box to those in need in North Chicago.

This year’s market is managed by Sydney Fletcher, a Lake Forest College Environmental Studies graduate and manager of the Lake Forest College Student Garden. The Open Air Market is located at the East Lake Forest Train Station every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 10. Free parking.
