Lake Forest Police to Offer Self-Defense Class for Women

Six-week course will begin in October.

A Women’s Self-Defense course will be offered by the Lake Forest Police Department beginning in October.

The class - which is open to any woman either working or living in Lake Forest - will take place every Tuesday for six weeks from 7-9 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. It will cover awareness, assertiveness, communication skills and basic self-defense strategies and techniques.

The first class will take place on October 13.
