Lake Forest Releases Independence Day Weekend Events Schedule
From food festival to fireworks, Lake Forest residents have many options for celebrating the country's 250th anniversary.
LAKE FOREST, IL — The City of Lake Forest released its schedule of weekend events for the 250th anniversary of America's independence this July.
"We are proud to call Lake Forest and the United States of America our home and look forward to celebrating this historic year together," city officials said in a statement.
Bites on Bank Food Festival
July 2 on Bank Lane from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Experience Lake Forest's dining scene with food and drinks available for purchase from 15 local restaurants and food shops set up along Bank Lane from Deerpath to Market Square. Musician Liam Sheridan will perform live at 5:15 p.m., and rock group Industrial Drive will perform during the Concert in the Square at 6:30 p.m.

July 3 at Elawa Farm from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Festival and Fireworks at Deerpath Park
July 4 at Deerpath Park from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A bigger, brighter celebration for the whole community featuring Fletcher Rockwell, the legendary Freddy Jones Band, and a spectacular fireworks show. to purchase tickets, click here.
Forest Park Beach Ice Cream Social
July 5 at Forest Park Beach at 11 a.m.
Stop by the north pavilion and enjoy a sweet treat served by American Legion McKinlock Post 264.
