Lake Forest Shop Continues Great Service
Three generations and nearly a century later, store is still a hit on Market Square.
It’s been nearly a century of service for the Lake Forest Shop, a staple on Market Square since 1922.
The Lake Forester recently caught up with third-generation store owner Ellen Stirling, who provides exceptional customer service to regulars and newcomers on a daily basis.
The story relates examples of that service, which include a woman who ordered a dress for her son’s wedding, only to find out months later that the nuptials would be canceled. Stirling, without contemplating, agreed to cancel the order.
