LAKE FOREST SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 1 and 2 CONCERTS David Cho, Guest Conductor

The Lake Forest Symphony will present their next concerts on November 1st and 2nd at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 West Washington Street, Grayslake. The program includes Beethoven’s Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, the Pathetique and the Violin Concert No. 1, Tributes, by James Stephenson of Lake Forest, the Orchestra’s composer in residence.
The guest conductor for the November concerts will be David Cho, and the featured violin soloist will be Jennifer Frautschi.
David Cho is the Music Director of the Lubbock Symphony and was conducting at Tanglewood and is the recipient of the Karajan Fellowship at the Salzburg Festival where he worked with the Vienna Philharmonic. Vladimir Kulenovic, the Symphony’s recently appointed music director, will be conducting all other Lake Forest Symphony concerts during the year.

Ms. Frautschi attended the New England Conservatory and Juilliard. She has appeared as a soloist with Pierre Boulez and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and with Christoph Eschenbach and the Chicago Symphony.

The November 1 concert begins at 8 pm and the concert on the 2nd begins at 2 pm. A pre-concert lecture precedes each concert and a wine reception follows each concert.
Tickets are priced from $35-$59, seniors from $30-$59 and students are $18-$59.
