Lake Forest Symphony's April 12th and 13th concert will feature guest conductor Stilian Kirov, the 4th of 5 outstanding candidates for the position of Music Director to be selected after the May 2014 concert. The orchestra will play Mendelssohn's the Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor with guest soloist 12 year old Masha Lakisova. Also on the program is Liadov's The Enchanted Lake and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Bring your students to this concert to see someone their age soloing with a professional orchestra! There will be a pre-concert lecture an hour before each performance and a post concert reception where you can meet the musicians, Stilian and Masha.
