Lakefront Mansion in Lake Forest Lists For Nearly $7 Million

LAKE FOREST, IL - A lakefront mansion recently listed in Lake Forest could be the city’s third highest sale in history if it goes for the price the owners are currently asking for.

A 19-room estate on Stone Gate Road was built in the 1800s and renovated during the early part of this century, according to a Crain’s Chicago report. It’s now on the market for $6.9 million.

Sellers Paul and Susan Svigos paid nearly $1.5 million for the property in 1994 and renovated it a few years later.

The blufftop home has eight bedrooms, six full baths, a swimming pool and 139 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline.
