Lawsuit Blames Lake Forest Hospital for Woman's Death After a Fall

The husband of Barbara Seng, who died April 12, filed the suit last week and is accusing the hospital of negligence and wrongful death.

A Lake Forest man is claiming a local hospital's negligence caused the death of his wife while she was being treated at the facility in February.

Robert Seng, the wife of and estate administrator for the late Barbara Seng, filed a lawsuit April 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, accusing the hospital of negligence and wrongful death, the Cook County Record reports.

The lawsuit alleges Barbara Seng fell Feb. 21, and suffered a subdural hematoma while she was being treated at the hospital, according to the report. Barbara Seng, 75, died April 12.

Robert Seng, who is suing for $50,000 and court costs, accuses Lake Forest Hospital of not being careful enough while treating his wife, the report stated.
