Leadership is Topic of Chamber September Luncheon

Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Sept. Luncheon, Jeff Anderson, President and CEO of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management

The Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon will take place on Wednesday, September 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The featured speaker is Jeffrey J. Anderson, President and CEO of the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management whose presentation will be on the subject of leadership.

The event is open to the public and will be held at The Lake Forest Club, 554 N. Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest.
Mr. Anderson was appointed to his current position in October 2014. LFGSM is an independent, not-for-profit, accredited business management education enterprise that offers face-to-face and online, part-time programs leading to an MBA degree, as well as corporate leadership development programs and solutions. LFGSM is the 3rd largest not-for-profit, part-time graduate school of business in the Chicago area.

Prior to joining the Graduate School, Mr. Anderson was an Associate Dean at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. As a member of senior staff, he participated in the development of a new market positioning statement for the School and several other school-wide initiatives. He also taught four classes, including the ground-breaking Leadership Effectiveness and Development (LEAD) program taken by all full-time students during their first quarter in the program.

Mr. Anderson is also a partner and co-founder of The Chatham Group, an association of experienced business executives who provide strategic advice and individual coaching to senior business leaders worldwide. Mr. Anderson has worked for more than a decade with senior executives in a wide variety of industries including: distribution, consumer products, oil and gas, automotive, financial services, manufacturing, and telecommunications.

He is also an advisor and Master Coach for First Principals, an organization that recruits and trains business leaders to provide coaching to public school principals in Chicago. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to executive leadership. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and the Board of Trustees of Lake Forest College in 2014.

Mr. Anderson received his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Carthage College with a BA in Economics and Accounting and is a licensed CPA in the State of Illinois.
