League Hosts Annual Fiscal Policy Program With State Representative Scott Drury and Ralph Martire

Hear about the current status of the Illinois state budget and possible solutions from Rep. Scott Drury and Ralph Martire. Bring questions.

The League of Women Voters of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area (LWV-LF/LB) invites the public to attend its annual fiscal policy program, "Understanding the Ongoing Budget Impasse: Pathways to Resolution" on Monday, April 10, 2017, 7:00 p.m., at Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, Illinois. Come hear Scott Drury, Illinois State Representative for the 58th District, and attorney Ralph Martire, Executive Director for the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, discuss the ongoing state budget impasse, its impact, and how or when it might be resolved. The program will be moderated by Susan Garrett, Past President LWV-LF/LB, former Illinois State Representative for the 59th District and former Illinois State Senator for the 29th District. Garrett currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the non-partisan Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.

The event is complimentary and open to the public.
