League of Women Voters Advises Vote by Mail Requests Due March 15

Registered voters have the opportunity to vote by mail in the upcoming primary election in comfort and convenience of their own home. It’s the perfect way to avoid standing in line as well as to take the time to review the ballot with candidate information readily available.

To vote by mail, simply complete an online application for a ballot using the Lake County clerk’s website: http://www.lakecountyil.gov/348/Voting-By-Mail . Upon registration verification, the applicant can request a “Vote by Mail” ballot. The application must be received by the Lake County clerk’s office by noon, Thursday, March 15.

The Lake County clerk’s office will mail out the ballot immediately. To be counted, the voted ballot must be postmarked by midnight on Election Day: Tuesday, March 20.

The League of Women Voters of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area encourages all eligible voters to make their voices heard by voting. Voters can choose the best option for their circumstances: vote by mail, early voting, or cast a vote on Election Day at the assigned polling location.
