League of Women Voters Hosts Holiday Luncheon - A French Connection

Enjoy Barry Bradford's exciting presentation "Julia Child: Spy and Chef", while satisfying your palate with a delicious luncheon.

The League of Women Voters - Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area will host its annual Holiday Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 2, beginning at 10:45 a.m. Guests are invited to enjoy a delicious lunch at Froggy's French Cafe, 306 Green Bay Rd. in Highwood. National Award-winning storyteller, Barry Bradford, will give a lively presentation "Julia Child: Spy and Chef". Enjoy an exciting story while satisfying your palate at a beautiful and intimate restaurant!

Julia Child became the first television superstar chef. However, she lead a very different life before her cooking brought her fame. Child was a top spy during World War II, and with her husband, was posted to various dangerous oversees locations. You won't want to miss this fascinating portrayal.

The League is pleased to have Barry Bradford back for the annual luncheon. He is a former National Teacher Of The Year. His work has won him awards from the President, Congress, and major Civil Rights groups. Additionally, he has been interviewed by nearly every major media outlet including The Today Show, The New York Times and many more. His presentations are entertaining and compelling.
