LFPD: Women Charged With Drunk Driving Had Five Kids In Car

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department as a record of police activity. An arrest is not an indication of guilt, and criminal charges, which are often dropped or reduced, represent merely accusations by the state. All defendants are innocent until their guilt is established by a court of law.

A 23-year-old Chicago man was charged with driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding following an investigation. Police got a call of a driving complaint against a black Mercedes on Lake Road. Officers soon found the vehicle and tried to pull it over. Police said the driver fled, speeding and running stop signs. Eventually, police located his vehicle based on its registration on the 100 block of Alden Lane. Police said the driver smelled of alcohol and showed signs of impairment while speaking with officers. After some further questioning, he was arrested at 7:12 p.m. on April 14. He pleaded guilty to DUI in exchange for a sentence of one year supervision.

Police on routine patrol found a suspicious vehicle parked in the 100 block of Suffolk around 4:30 a.m. on April 9. The car's headlights were on, but officers at first did not see any occupants. After approaching, police found Brittany N. Kloss, 25, and Donna D. Ridolfi, 39, both of the 3500 block of Elaine Avenue in Park City in the car. Police also found syringes, needles, glass pipes, narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the car. The driver, Ridolfi, was found to have a suspended license and the passenger, Kloss, had an active Lake County warrant for dangerous drugs. Police said they discovered two grams of heroin in Kloss's possession. Both women were processed and charged at the Public Safety Building. Ridolfi was ticketed and Kloss was taken to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital's emergency room for treatment. She was released the next day and faces charges of illegally possessing of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles, obstructing justice and possession of controlled substance.

A 19-year-old Park Ridge man was charged with assault and minor consumption of alcohol after police were called to Lake Forest College around 3:30 a.m. on April 2. Lake Forest police had received a report of a man who became threatening and assaulted a LFC campus security officer while being questioned by security for trespassing on campus. Jasper was detained and questioned regarding his presence on campus, his intoxication when underage to drink and his encounter with security before being arrested.

Lauren A. Bradshaw, 29, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment and faces a May court date in connection with an incident April 2. Bradshaw, of the 6600 block of S. Rhodes Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. Police said they were on routine patrol when they saw her silver Chevy Equinox commit a series of driving infractions and pulled her over at Route 41 and Old Elm Road. While speaking with Bradshaw, police said they noticed five children in the SUV who were not in any type of vehicle restraint system. Police found Bradshaw had an active warrant out of Lake County, they could smell alcohol coming from her breath and she was showing signs of intoxication. Bradshaw was taken into custody and a family member was called and took custody of the five children. She was transported to the Public Safety Building, interviewed, processed and subsequently provided a breath sample showing a blood alcohol level of .205. Bradshaw was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment. She was released on the DUI and Lake County warrant after posting bond.
