Lake Forest Parks & Recreation offers a wide variety of summer camp experiences right here in our community with flexible schedules, affordable pricing, and a reputation that is second to none. From traditional, super fun day camps, to sports, nature, dance, art, and technology, there is a camp for every child. Our traditional day camps which include Summer Discovery, Everett Explorers, McCormick, and All Stars, are for children ages 3-12 and are offered from 1 week to 8 weeks, so you can customize your summer camp schedule to fit your family’s summer plans. Many of our camps offer the opportunity to participate in weekly trips to the beach and campers enjoy multiple field trips throughout the summer. This year, our sport-specific camps include sailing, golf, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, football, gymnastics and volleyball. We also offer S.T.E.M. camps which include robotics, Minecraft, 3D design and printing, augmented reality and more.

Our beloved Twigs Camp is back and better than ever with an emphasis on art (including ceramics, drawing and painting), theatre, and dance. Dance Me a Story camps for ages 3-7 will have your tiny dancer twirling to the music of Mary Poppins and the Wizard of Oz. At our new So You Think You Can Dance Camp, campers ages 6-9 can get into the groove and explore a new style of dance each day.

Wildlife camps are always a favorite and the Wildlife Discovery Center is one of the best places for kids to learn about animals and nature as they study and observe local wildlife along the Middlefork Savana. Daily interaction with the WDC animals provides children with the opportunity to learn animal handling basics and much more.
