Man In Chicago Bulls Hat Robs Waukegan Bank: Police

The man passed a note to a teller and implied he was armed, according to police.

WAUKEGAN, IL — Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday in Waukegan. Shortly before 4:30 p.m., the man walked into the First Midwest Bank at 1201 Golf Road and passed a note to a teller demanding money, according to police.

Though the robber never brandished a weapon, police said he implied he was armed. Bank staff handed over an unspecified amount of money and he fled on foot, according to police.

The robber was described as 30 to 40 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches and 170 pounds, police said.

Images from security cameras released by police showed he wore a light blue denim jacket with a black sweatshirt underneath and a Chicago Bulls hat with the word "true" on it.

Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact their investigations division at 847-360-9001.
