Marguerite G. Turpel passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years

Marguerite G. Turpel passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years at the Condell Medical Center’s Hospice Unit on January 5, 2023. She fought a hard, valiant and long-term fight against Pulmonary Hypertension Disease. Marguerite was born on August 7, 1927. She was raised on a rural Wisconsin farm in Union Grove.

She had a successful four-decade long career in nursing and hospital administration. In addition to becoming a Registered Nurse, she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Professional Arts and a Masters Degree of Health Administration. She retired in 1988 to spend more quality time with her family and travel.

Marguerite is survived by her loving children Linda (Ray), Diana (Bruce), Robert JR. (Barbara) and grandson Thomas Jr. (Krist). She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Sr. and granddaughter Christine.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial remembrance to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.

Visitation from 9am until 11am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Wenban Funeral Home 320 Vine Avenue, Lake Forest, Illinois 60045. A service will follow at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Marguerite will then be laid to rest at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois.
