Mark Tan of Thrivent Financial Joins Lake County Cares Board

Mark A Tan, of Lake Forest’s Thrivent Financial office, has been selected as a member of the Lake County Cares charity board. Mark began his duties as a board member at the end of April.

Lake County Cares is an active volunteer service center with the mission of “connecting good people with great causes.” They help strengthen communities by operating essential outreach programs that facilitate connections between volunteer corps and local non-profit organizations. These organizations include local agencies, municipalities, schools, civic groups, and religious organizations.

As a member of the Lake County Cares board, Mark will Support the organization as an advocate and look out for the best interest of the organization. He will also gather resources and connect the right people to the community projects to enhance the reach and effectiveness of the organization.

As an active philanthropist himself, Mark is very excited to begin helping others find volunteer opportunities in the community.

“I’ve had so many great experiences with volunteering in our community,” said Mark, “the logical next step for me is to help others find those opportunities as well!”
