Michael W. Richards, 63, Gurnee

Michael W. Richards passed away on November 5, 2022, at the age of 63.

A long-time resident of Gurnee, IL, he was born in Chicago, grew up in Waukegan and graduated from Carmel High School.

Mike was a postal carrier for 30 years serving the communities of North Chicago and Great Lakes; an avid reader, master at trivia and lifelong fan of his beloved Chicago White Sox.

Mike is predeceased in death by his parents, Herbert and Brigid Richards and his brother Jim, survived by his sister, Noreen (Jon) and dear friend of 35 years, Sherri Walls.

Visitation, 5pm to 8pm, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Avenue, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Funeral Mass 10 am Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
