Missing Chicago Man Last Seen in Evanston
Walter Smith has been missing since New Year's Eve, when he was spotted near St. Francis Hospital.

A Chicago man missing since New Year’s Eve was last seen near St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
According to multiple media reports, police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Walter “Walt” Smith, 49, who the Chicago Tribune stated “frequents the area near his home on the 6400 block of South Claremont Avenue and near 51st Street” - locales near Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood on the south side.
But he is known to travel elevated lines to Evanston and the surrounding North Shore suburbs and has been known to travel as far as Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Smith is described as a 6-foot, 230-pound black man with black hair, brown eyes and medium complexion, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. He normally does not have facial hair, but sometimes lets it grow out for a few weeks, police said.
