What brought Nan the most joy, was being with her husband, children and grandchildren. Seeing them all together at home for a birthday party, Holiday dinner, Disney World, Tybee Island, Lake Geneva or sailing together in St. Martin, Bahamas, Belize, and The British Virgin Islands, brought nothing but big smiles for her. Nan’s travels with Fred, and friends, also took her to many memorable sailing locations including Australia, The Caribbean, New Zealand, and Tahiti. She enjoyed talking about the many adventures they encountered. Fred and Nan also shared the passion of racing sailboats, which they did for many years through the Waukegan Yacht Club, where they were active members.
