New AR for Daddy-O... The 2 Vets Arms Bravo Rifle 5.56 Caliber.

What a great rifle, built on the AR Platform, but with a very distinct difference... a Scar type charging handle design on the bolt! The standard 30 Round Magazines make for great fun at the Range and my Wife loves the light recoil. It is her go to Home Defense Weapon. A fantastic firearm that is designed and built by a Husband and Wife pair of Army Veterans out of Oklahoma. There are many cool features to these firearms and you can order them through Red Dot Arms in Lake Villa, Il. I outfitted mine with a Surefire Flashlight 500 Lumen and a Green Laser sight. It is amazing to see how well an AR Rifle works as a Home Defense Weapon, especially with a laser sight. You can use your weak side to shoot around corners without using the traditional sights. Lighting up the Home Invaders with "marking Rounds" is a blast! Simply put, the invaders were outgunned by my Rifle vs their handguns and they suffered loses very quickly. You could never do this with a 12 Ga. Shotgun or bolt action rifle. Tactical advantage is easy, when you possess a superior firearm. The home invaders were vanquished in less than 20 seconds. Anyone who thinks that an AR is not a good Home Defense weapon should go through the course and see how handguns are outgunned by an AR. Using the new Bravo Rifle added a nice feature... I could load a new round into the chamber without removing the weapon from my shoulder...due to the bolt mounted charging handle. I am able to do the same thing with my Sig Sauer Model 551, but not on traditional AR's. I give the 2 Vets Arms Bravo Rifle a 5 Star Rating, it never failed to feed and it is a fantastic design.
