New Funeral Home Planned in Lake Forest
'Reuland and Turnbough' could open at former yoga site on Western Avenue.

A pair of former workers at Wenban Funeral Home in Lake Forest could soon open its nearest competitor.
Eli Turnbough and business partner Chad Reuland have signed a letter of intent to lease at 1407 N. Western Ave., where they would open Reuland & Turnbough Funeral Home at the former location of Forever Om Yoga, according to the Lake Forester.
If approved, Reuland & Turnbough will offer planning, caskets, urns and headstones; but cremation and the preparation of bodies will be contracted off-site.

There will also be no visitation chapel or funeral processions through town.
“Seventy percent of families planning funerals don’t need a large funeral home and the overhead that comes with it,” Turnbough said. “We will do visitation at a church or someone’s home.”

The project has yet to be heard by the city’s Plan Commission.
