New Lake Forest Hospital ‘Nearing Completion’: Mayor

Work on new hospital's interior spaces "in full swing," Lake Forest Mayor says.

LAKE FOREST, IL - Development on the new Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is moving along smoothly, according to Lake Forest Mayor Donald P. Schoenheider.

Schoenheider referred to the hospital under construction as “spectacular” and “nearing completion” in the winter issue of the Dialogue, which was recently released by city officials.

“Work on the interior spaces is in full swing, and next spring, work will continue outside to finalize the new parking lot, eliminate the temporary parking lot and enhance the landscaping,” Schoenheider wrote, noting that public discussions are underway on preliminary plans to reuse the hospital’s south campus.
