North Chicago Obituary: Martin John Babich, 87

Martin John Babich, 87, passed away on September 13, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Martin was born in North Chicago, IL on August 7, 1928. He graduated from Rose-Hulman (formerly Rose Polytechnic School of Engineering) in Terre Haute, IN. Martin had a long and successful career as a Chemical Engineer for Stauffer Chemical Company in Buffalo, NY and Louisville, KY.
He returned to his family home in North Chicago in 2012. Martin is survived by his loving nieces; Kathleen (Jordy) Minerva and Karen Halladay, his sister-in-law Gladys Babich, and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Rose Babich, and his siblings: Steve Babich, Marko (Millie) Babich, and Rosemary Babich.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Ave, Lake Forest, followed by burial at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL at 11:30 am.
