North Shore Chapter NSDAR announces volunteer leadership for key committees working in the community for 2017-2018. Regent Willard Helander said, “I am delighted by the privilege of working with volunteers so vested in our surrounding communities. North Shore DAR members bring into action our mission to foster education, historic preservation and patriotism”.
Most DAR volunteer work is accomplished through the committee system that promotes the Society’s mission of historic preservation, education and patriotism. There are more than 45 committees designated by NSDAR. Each has a specific purpose, but not every chapter has members who are involved in each of these. Chapters develop leadership opportunities and promote the activities that are of interest to the chapter members.
Listed below are key categories under which you will find a sample of the committees in which North Shore Chapter DAR members participate.
