North Shore Pediatric Therapy Opens 7th Location in Lake Bluff

The expanding pediatric therapy practice expands to the northern part of the North Shore.

Chicagoland’s only full service, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice has expanded to Lake Bluff.

North Shore Pediatric Therapy opened their seventh clinic location at 917 Sherwood Road on September 28. The new clinic will feature state of the art treatment spaces and will continue to offer seamless therapies in a number of disciplines including Neuropsychological Testing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work and ABA/Behavior Therapy.

“We had several clients and pediatricians in the area asking us to come to Lake Bluff, said North Shore Pediatric Therapy CEO, Maria Hammer.

“This facility is one of our largest and will have an ABA Early Development Center as part of our multidisciplinary clinic. These services will allow more families from this community to access our services.”

Hammer said she anticipates opening 1-2 more clinics per year, all based on where the families need the services the most.”

“We look forward to helping more children blossom.”

Abby Rohlfing, an OTR/L and branch director for North Shore Pediatric Therapy, is just as excited about the expansion. She has enjoyed her work at North Shore’s health and wellness center in Highland Park for the last two-and-a-half years.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to be joining the Lake Bluff community,” she said. “While working at North Shore Pediatric Therapy, I have been able to truly see how committed the families are to their children and look forward to supporting the families in their child’s growth and development.”

The practice has already had locations in Chicago, Glenview, Des Plaines, Highland Park, Lincolnwood and Evanston.

So building relationships with pediatricians based out of Lake Bluff and surrounding communities will be vital for children on the north end of the region in need of these services.

“We are all in this together, and the more we reach out, the better it will be for the kids,” Rohlfing said.

Hammer said she anticipates opening 1-2 clinics per year, all based on where the families already utilizing the clinic’s service need them most.
