Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Reopens
The hospital will be open for clinical operations Tuesday for the first time in nearly a week.
LAKE FOREST, IL — Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital announced it has been cleared to reopen Tuesday. Hospital officials announced Monday evening that clinical operations would resume starting at 5 a.m. in all parts of the hospital, including the emergency department. The hospital said patients should direct any questions about appointments to their health care providers.
Lake Forest Hospital has been closed since last Wednesday following flooding in its basement that knocked out power and forced the evacuation of more than 90 patients.

The hospital said the top priority during the process has been to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
