Obituary: Annette Witt, 80
The longtime owner of The Spicery in Long Grove and Lincolnshire resident passed away Thursday.

Annette Witt, of Lincolnshire, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Nov. 30, 2017 at the age of 80. Witt was a devoted wife and mother, and for many years business owner of The Spicery in Long Grove. She was a gourmet cook, seamstress, an avid golfer, gardener, bowler, reader and friend.
Witt was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years Henry M. Witt III. She is survived by her daughters and son, Carol (Jim) Livas, Kathryn (Mark) Witt-Holzman; Barbara Bliss, Sandra (the late Ken) Michelau, and Matthew (Shpresa) Witt; and cherished grandchildren Greg and Brad Livas, Alex and Joanna Holzman, Paul, Andrew and Maggie (Getz) Schulenburg, Samantha, Elizabeth and Becca Michelau, and Madeline, Henry and Andrew Witt, and dearest great-grandchild Jack Schulenburg.
Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Floralyn Diaz and Majuna Lee for their years of devoted service.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 11:30 a.m., at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest.

There is no scheduled visitation and interment will be private.
