Obituary: Tina M. Jackson, 97

Tina M. Jackson, 97, a resident of Lake Forest for 66 years, passed away on Oct. 28. She was born Aug. 16, 1920 in Glencoe, Illinois to Joe and Madalena (Biagi) Vignocchi. Tina is survived by her children Claudette, twins Joyce and Nancy, and Bruce. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Claude, and siblings Keno, Anthony, Roger and Olga.

Tina was a wonderful Italian cook, avid boater and member of the Lake Forest Boating Club, and enjoyed waterskiing and fishing on Lake Michigan. In her later years Tina loved to walk at the lake with her twins.

Jackson was a friend to many at the former Westmoreland Nursing Home, and recently the Balmoral Care Center. Tina will be missed by many who knew her and especially by her loyal companion Mr. Jimmy

Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. and services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Ave, Lake Forest.
