Overnight Ramp Closure Planned on Tollway
Work on installing new toll collection equipment to take place over two nights.

The installation of new monotube and toll collection equipment at the Tri-State Tollway’s Half Day Road (Illinois Route 22) exit will cause overnight closures of the ramp beginning Wednesday.
That night, one I-PASS or Pay Online lane at the toll plaza is scheduled to close at 8 p.m., with one automatic coin machine lane remaining open. The full ramp closure is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. to remove the old toll plaza canopy and install the new monotube and toll collection equipment. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Thursday in advance of the morning rush hour.
A second night of overnight ramp closures following the same schedule are planned for Thursday to complete the toll plaza improvements on I-94 with all lanes scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. on Friday.

Electronic message signs will be put in place to alert drivers in advance of the closures.
