Owners Trying to Find Newly Rescued Dog
Known as Kismet, the black, mid-sized labridoodle was last spotted in Fort Sheridan.

The entire North Shore community is trying to find a dog owners had at home for a mere 10 minutes before he broke free. ‘
A labradoodle (poodle and labrador mix) known to his friends at Wright Way Rescue in Niles as ‘Kismet’ had just settled in with his owners Marcus Gottlieb and family at a family residence in Highland Park on February 17 when he “jumped the fence,” according to Deerfield resident Jennifer Leavitt Schmidt - Marcus’ niece. Marcus’ family had adopted him earlier that day.
Since a call for help was placed on social media that day, the entire North Shore Mom’s Spot Facebook page, and other area online groups as well, have been on a mission to find the pup Jennifer says “is scared of people,” but “is used to being around other dogs.”

“People have been amazing in offering to help,” Jennifer said, noting the dog has been seen in Fort Sheridan on a few separate occasions since being lost. “All we need to know is if you saw him and where. Let us know right away. It will help us find him sooner.
If found, please call owner Marcus Gottlieb at (847) 754-0304.
