Park City Man Charged in 3 Car Chases in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff

Marshall Delvalle was indicted on 8 felony counts by a grand jury Wednesday.

A Park City man accused of leading police on three separate high-speed chases in March with three different stolen cars was indicted on eight felony counts Wednesday by the Lake County Grand Jury, the Daily North Shore reports.

Marshall Delvalle, 28, was charged with the following, according to the report:

  • two counts of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer
  • two counts of aggravated assault
  • two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle
  • burglary
  • criminal damage to property

If convicted, he could be sentenced to 14 to 36 years.

The charges stem from car chases with police March 9, March 12 and March 16, in Highland Park, Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, North Chicago and Waukegan. Delvalle was taken into custody after swerving into a ditch while fleeing police during the third chase.

One of the aggravated assault counts Delvalle was charged with is in connection with claims that he tried to swerve and hit a Lake Bluff police officer who was laying down road spikes during the March 9 chase, according to the Daily North Shore.

Delvalle will be arraigned April and is being held on 100,000 bond in Lake County Jail.
